I have been taking it for months or possibly even 2 years and I have found nothing else that has made this problem worse. I know should not be using it on tournament days but I would be lying if said it hasn't been a problem for me. It can cause a fair bit of anxiety to get up the day of a tournament and to take it seems like I start feeling ill a lot, and I would not be able to function as well I could without it and would not feel like my life could get any easier while taking it. I would not put it aside if I thought would make me a better player just because I know it is bad for me when I am not playing and to be honest I know it is bad for me but I won't know if it is because I take it, and have taken it myself I would like to get rid of a good chunk anxiety but I see it as an addiction and I think it is so odd that there has never ever been anything that has made me feel better, until this.Now I don't know if should just go ahead and start doing some research on what Xanax is if I get some questions but wouldn't want to do more than what I have done up until now.

The U.S. Surgeon General agrees. He reported in May 2015 that the FDA's plan to regulate over-the-counter sales of ADHD medication has not been successful in preventing dangerous overprescribing.
According to the Surgeon General's study, number of children receiving prescription stimulant medication for ADHD increased from 8 percent in 2007 to 20 2009 and 40 percent in 2013.
Of 9.5 million children between 6 and 17 years old who needed a medical prescription for ADHD in 2007, 4.2 million were admitted to hospital in 2007, the report found. 2009 that number climbed to 6.5 million. In 2013 it was 7.5 million. That's an increase of nearly 200,000 children admitted to hospitals for the condition in 13 years.
The number of children referred to child protection services for ADHD increased from 22,000 in 2007 to 48,000 2009 and 93,000 in 2013 — an increase of almost 500,000 children. The report also cites statistics showing that almost 50,000 emergency room visits for ADHD were scheduled during 2011-2012, and nearly 100,000 emergency room visits were made for ADHD in 2012 alone. Many of these children, the study says, had to wait weeks for an appointment with a therapist.
For now, many parents do not know the risk that a prescription for ADHD medication poses to their children.
"They are thinking this is a medication that will help their child," says Dr. William K. Miller, chief of pediatric psychiatry and child at Children's National Medical Center in Washington D.C. "In some countries, they are trying to regulate it because they know there may be problems with it being overprescribed and may be dangerous."
The FDA does not monitor prescriptions for ADHD because the medication has not been proven safe.
"The FDA has been asleep at the switch. It's been very lax with the oversight of industry," says Dr. Miller. "It's the most powerful medicine for many children and it should have been on the radar that this is a very powerful medicine and dangerous medicine."
Dr. Miller says the FDA's plan to monitor sales of drugs for conditions such as ADHD will not work. The FDA cannot put a time limit on when it should have approved a drug for ADHD, he says.
