In France, over 60 partnership agreements for the International Year were signed with cities, national and local NGOs and institutions. One example of the many actions was the World Festival for Children that brought together 2000 children from all regions of the world.


Russia


Among many actions in the Russian Federation for the International Year, the crew of "Mir", the International orbital complex, appealed to Presidents, Governments, Parliaments and all the people of goodwill across the world to support the Manifesto 2000 for the Culture of Peace and Non-violence and International action "for a century without wars" . . . In Spain, thousands of school and University students, more than 40 national and local NGOs as well as the medias were the major actors of the International Year and of the Manifesto 2000 campaign…
