Brazil
The promotional campaign during the International Year in Brazil was exemplary: the
Manifesto 2000 reached over 15 million citizens based on a two-fold strategy consisting of
the establishment of partnerships and the development of the contents and concepts of a
culture of peace.
Costa Rica
The National Commission for UNESCO implemented a programme of action for the culture of peace, involving all sectors of the society. The Associated Schools and UNESCO Clubs carried out many activities including several festivals.
