: Creemos que el fomentar activamente la lectura entre los niños y los jóvenes mejora también el proceso cognitivo, los enseña a pensar, a discernir. Nosotros organizamos lecturas en las escuelas secundarias y preparatorias, así como en cárceles y también realizamos donaciones de libros para sus bibliotecas y talleres de creación literaria.

PROGRESS: Has your organization seen progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of action and in your constituency during the second half of the Decade? |
Hemos tenido la oportunidad de asistir a diversos encuentros de escritores que nos han dado la oportunidad de realizar servicio comunitario y decimos con satisfacción que las localidades a las que hemos servido han mostrado un renovado interés por las artes, las cuales pretendemos desmitificar de que solo el sector social de la elite puede acceder.

Reforzamos nuestros lazos de amistad y cooperación con otras agrupaciones literarias que tienen los mismos intereses. Contamos con redes de distribución de nuestro material y donaciones en diferentes países como Cuba, Argentina, Colombia y Chile y algunas ciudades de Estados Unidos con grandes porcentajes de pobladores de habla hispana.
