'parenthood before the birth of a child', 'prenatal education' and its
value and effectiveness for the preparation for a world of peace.

 It
must be noted that in all our national and international congresses.
the most famous researchers of the contemporary scientific centers on
prenatal parenthood and the humanization of these fundamental first
phases of life, are the main speakers, and these persons are also the
main collaborators for our Organizations.
 |
| PROGRESS: Has your organization
seen progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain
of action and in your constituency during the second half of the
Decade?
 | We
observe a great effect on health, psychological balance and peaceful
character of the children born by parents conscious of their prenatal
educational role. This effect is valuable for all the countries where
our Associations of Prenatal Education are situated and work to achieve
 these objectives.
OMAEP assimilates 17 Associations from all
over the World and these Associations are very active, working with
youth, couples, future parents  from all levels of society.
 In
some countries, prenatal education has been accepted as necessary
preparation for parenthood and as a prevention of all disabilities.
 |
| OBSTACLES: Has your organization faced any obstacles to implementing the culture of peace and nonviolence? If so, what were they?
 | Our Organizations main goal is to integrate Prenatal Education in the National Education and Health Institutions.
 This
proposed by our Organization integration is not accepted so easily in
many countries. This is due to the anachronistic educational systems
that do not permit for new scientific knowledge to be assimilated.
 The
extensive distribution of Prenatal Education brochures, necessitates a
financial support, which is not always easy to come by.
 |
| PLANS: What new engagements are
planned by your organization in the short, medium and long term to
promote a culture of peace and nonviolence?
 | Collaboration with many international NGO working for a culture of peace and education.
 |
| GLOBAL MOVEMENT: How do you think the culture of peace and nonviolence could be strengthened and supported at the world level??
 | Prenatal education – a foundation for a healthy, balanced
and creative new generation and for world peace

 How
to create a new generation, with healthy, balanced, creative and joyful
children, is the first preoccupation of every person, every country.
 But
scientific recent researches of the last 30-50 years have revealed that
parents can effectively favor the arrival of such children into the
world; on one condition: that they start the education of their
children before their birth, even before their conception.
 During
the prenatal period of life the whole organism of the new human being
(his health) is constructed, but even his
psychological balance, his character, his sociability, and his moral
qualities and talents are developed, by the constant registrations on
his cellular memory of the thoughts, feelings, sensations of his mother
and father. The mother –and through her the father- during pregnancy
are the complete physical and psychological living raw material for the
child.
By giving their child the most healthy, positive and
harmonious everyday life and their unconditional love and their
positive thoughts for him/her, they can construct his health,
psychological balance, inner peace and creativity. He/she is constantly
receiving whatever the mother thinks or feels and registers these first
experiences, which construct his body and color his personality.
“Future parents are the genetic engineers of their child. They have to be informed.” (Bruce Lipton, geneticist)
 Therefore,
if I had to choose only one idea, one knowledge that would transform
the world, I would prefer this scientifically acknowledged idea of
prenatal education that leads to the preparation of healthy, peaceful
and creative new generations by the prevention of all disabilities in
the roots of life: inform couples and the youth about their great
educational role during the first stage of the life of their child and
awaken the general awareness in people about the importance of prenatal
life and the necessity of prenatal education.
 This information is
very simple. It can be spread through all the modern means of
communication and it must be integrated in the health, education and
public services and institutions, national and international. The
effects will be enormous: on health, psychological balance, moral
qualities, talents, creativity of the new generations and therefore in
the economic development of all nations and the welfare and peace of
the international society.
