A Assistência e Promoção Social Exército de Salvação se localiza na comunidade Vila dos Pescadores em Cubatão/SP, onde predominam a violência e tráfico de drogas, nesse contexto, a entidade luta para manter as crianças e adolescentes longe desses perigos das ruas oferecendo atividades educacionais e culturais de lazer e cursos de geração de renda no periodo em que estão fora da escola. Portanto fazemos nossa parte para promover a paz e não violência.

Infelizmente na comunidade em geral isso é muito dificil de ocorrer, mas com as crianças e familias que trabalhamos constatamos que a maioria se encontra na escola, num ambiente menos violento e com melhores perspectivas de se capacitar e arrumar um bom emprego.

Sim, sempre há obstáculos, pois na comunidade em que estamos inseridos a luta pela paz e não violência e diária e contínua. A iniciativa é a construção de um novo prédio para a ONG que atenderá somente os jovens, ampliando assim nosso atendimento.
